Best Shows To Watch

Welcome to my second blog everyone! I hope you guys had a good week and have been staying safe. If you haven't already, make sure you guys listen to episode 22 which is available to listen everywhere, so click here to listen. Thank you again to everyone that has supported us throughout these last few months until now. Thank you for all the support last week with the website launch, listening to episode 21, and everything else, it really does mean a lot <3

But going into this week's blog, I'm going to talk about some of the best shows I've watched that I think anyone would find interesting enough to watch too! Since quarantine I've had enough time to watch sooo many things, whether it was on Netflix, Hulu, Disney+ and more, to try and give you guys the best shows I think are worth the watch during whatever free time you may have. During quarantine (almost a year ago already) I started watching anime for the first time and I've come across a few that I think are worth the mention for people who may want to test it out.

Must Watch Section: If you haven't already...these are shows worth the watch. First we have 911 (Hulu) which will have you, your friends, your family, EVERYONE CRYING almost every episode. This show has four seasons and is a drama about the LA Fire Department, sounds boring, but trust me just watch the first episode and give it a chance. Next is YOU (Netflix), if you haven't seen this show whatsoever yet, what are you doing? You has two seasons, short and simple, but insane. Long story short its about this guy who's completely in love with a girl and goes all stalker and psycho crazy (you'll get the hype once you watch). Then is The Witcher which came out a few months ago (only one season) and I'm not sure about the whole backstory, but I think it's a game or a book? Either ways, it's a great show, lot's of action, and Henry Cavill (Superman) is in it, and who doesn't love Henry Cavill? Lastly is The Rain and Altered Carbon (both on Netflix) and they are both futuristic shows. The Rain is about how majority of the population is wiped out by the rain and how this brother and sister wait five years or so to find out it's only them left (or are they...). Then Altered Carbon takes place in the future where we're able to swap our "brains/souls" into other bodies once our old body is worn out, and etc. But Altered Carbon is a good one for anyone who likes straight action with mystery and not to mention it has crazy visual effects.

Anime Section: Some of the anime's I'd suggest to watch first, if you're new to anime, is Demon Slayer (Netflix + Hulu) and Attack on Titan (Hulu). Both shows are action and are available to listen in English if that's easier, but everyone that watches anime knows listening to it in Japanese is better! So yeah adding onto that, from the first episode both shows are pretty deep and enough happens to draw you in. The other two I'd suggest watching are My Hero Academia (Hulu) and Haikyuu (Netflix + Hulu). Both are amazing shows (they all are) and made me cry more than once simply because I get attached to fictional characters easily haha. But anyone that's seen Haikyuu which is a volleyball anime always says it makes them want to play the sport. Meanwhile, My Hero Academia is also a great show it's a bit slower than the other's and doesn't really get into it's action until late season 1/early season 2, but I think it's worth the watch. These suggestions not only go for kids around my age but also adults! My dad has been watching anime for as long as I can remember and even watches a lot of the one's I watch, so if a grown finds interest in these shows maybe so can you!

Coming of Age + Drama Section: These shows here if you're not into anime are the ones to watch! First is The OC (Hulu) which is a high school drama show that came out in the early 2000's and is a good coming of age show. Without spoiling too much, it's a good show when it comes to showing how adoption, alcohol, and even your past can affect a person's family and future. Next is The Originals (Netflix)! This show has me sobbing for their season finale, if you like The Vampire Diaries or have heard of it before...this show is better than that. For those that don't know The Originals is a show based off the Vampire Diaries, and no you don't have to watch that before you start this one, and yes its a vampire show about the first vampire family to exist (takes place in 2016 though). The Originals is a great show in showing how no matter what, whether their your blood or not, family is forever, and is what you make of it. Then we have All American and Grand Army (both on Netflix) both are coming of age shows, and they hit on important issues and topics that do need to more light on them. These topics include, racism, sexual assault and harassment, drug addiction, and more.

But yeah guys that's it for this week! I hope you guys enjoyed this week's blog and hope any of you are able to give one of these shows a chance. They're all great shows in general and would love to hear you're feedback on these if you do decide to watch them! And hey, if you like one of them maybe you'll like the others too. Be safe everyone and take care!
