Live Life For You

Hello everyone welcome back to my blog! Hope everyone is doing well! If you haven’t already, make sure you tune to The Way We C It’s latest episode where Tati and I interview a doctor (Click here to listen)! Yes, I said a doctor! Talk to us nice LOL!!!!

It has been a minute since I last wrote a blog (February 21, 2021). Almost a month OMG! I have been meaning to write a blog for the past month (I even put it in my planner every week), but by the time I am done lesson planning and turning in my school assignments it is 1:00am. By this time my brain is fried, and the last thing I want to do is write a blog after sitting in front of the computer all day. With that being said, I decided to write my blogs once a month instead of once a week. I figured this schedule would work best for me, so I do not feel guilty for not writing a blog every week.

So about a week ago (*Bobby Shmurda voice*), I treated myself to a professional birthday photoshoot in New York City. Yes, my birthday was a month ago, but we turning up all year lol! Do not let no one tell you it is too late to celebrate your birthday. I actually been wanting to do a birthday photoshoot for the longest and this year I finally took the time to plan everything out. Being that I love the city, I knew I wanted it to be outside with a bridge and the skyline behind me. Check out a few of the pics below. Shout out to my photographer Robert (rc1photography) for helping my vision come to life.

You can not tell from the pictures, but it was FREEZING when I did my photoshoot. I was literally shivering, but it was all worth it with how the pictures came out. The pictures were taken in Pier 35, which is right along the East River. I highly recommend this location (when it is warmer outside) if you are looking to take nice pictures with the Manhattan bridge and the city skyline behind you. Anyways, besides it being cold outside it was an amazing experience because I hardly ever dress up. I went to the salon for the first time in two years, got a full face of makeup done, and bought a fire dress from Prettylittlething. Sometimes you just need to put on a dress and heels to remind yourself you are that woman! If you are reading this and are thinking of having a photoshoot, this is your reminder to JUST DO IT. You don’t have to wait for your birthday or any other milestone in your life. One thing the pandemic has taught me is that life is too short and you just gotta live your life for you! So this is your reminder to live life for you!

In honor of Women’s History Month here is an empowerment quote:
