So I Started a Blog...

Hello everyone! This whole blog thing is new to me, so bare with me lol. I thought I would start with a little introduction to get to know me better. So who is Ariana Toledo? Sometimes I dislike answering this question because at times I still feel I am still discovering who I am. I am also a person who wears many hats, so it can be difficult to explain who I am in simple terms. I guess I'll start off by saying I am a student. I have been a student for a very long time with no breaks, which has been exhausting but rewarding at the same time. Currently, I am a graduate student studying to be a Mental Health Counselor and I am looking forward to graduate next year. I also work as a teacher in NYC. Working as a teacher in the midst of a pandemic has been a rollercoaster! I am so over Zoom and Google Meetings lol! Additionally, I volunteer as a crisis counselor online and help individuals when they are in a state of crisis. Volunteering as a crisis counselor remotely has given me the opportunity to support individuals as we all navigate through this mental health crisis. Lastly, as many of you would know, I am a podcaster. I co-host The Way We C It podcast along with my co-host Tatiana. At times, I still can’t believe I started a podcast because speaking out on my opinions online was out of my comfort zone. Getting out of my comfort zone has opened a whole new array of interests that I didn’t know I had. I genuinely enjoy creating content that can open up listeners to different perspectives.

One of the best parts of creating this podcast with Tatiana is the close bond we have both formed since we started. I am not going to lie, I was a bit hesitant to start something new with someone I barely knew. Then as we recorded an episode every week throughout the entire summer, we grew so much closer and realized how much things we had in common. It is crazy to think that we now have an official website and are getting ready to launch Season 2. Who would have known that when a close friend suggested to us to start a podcast, we would be twenty episodes in and launching Season 2 six months later! The opportunities in life are endless!
